Accelerate to Zero Hero: IndiNature

IndiNature exists to help decarbonise the construction industry and has established the manufacturing capability to produce circular, bio-based building materials at scale.

Opening the first IndiNature Mill in the Scottish Borders in 2022 - the only dedicated high-capacity natural fibre insulation production facility in the UK - IndiNature entered the construction materials market, creating new cleantech jobs as part of a just transition. Designed to significantly reduce carbon emissions while promoting healthier living environments, IndiNature natural fibre insulation has a net carbon capture, low whole life carbon, and is one of the most vapour-open ‘breathable’ insulations.  Over 20 months since production began, over 200 tonnes CO2 has been captured in products and locked into buildings for the life of the building (A1-3, cradle-to-gate LCA, 2024).

With increasing market acceptance, rigorous industry certifications, new product innovation and optimisation, and a scalable business model trebling turnover year on year, IndiNature is not just making products but is demonstrating a game-changing solution poised to lead the industry towards a low-carbon, healthier future for buildings and their occupants.
