Next Step for Heat Networks in Scotland

Decarbonising heat is one of our greatest challenges in achieving net-zero. City-wide heat networks are already common in Europe and have a key role to play in providing Scotland’s cities and towns with reliable, low-carbon, low-cost heat.

What is needed to increase large-scale heat networks across Scotland? How can we utilise local excess heat ?

The event is organised by the Danish Embassy in London together with the Scottish Cities Alliance, Glasgow City Council and Stirling Council.

Denmark has a long experience of heat networks at scale, with 63 percent of all building heat supplied by heat networks.
